Meet Kylee Alejandre
Owner of Utah Valley Doulas
As a child, Kylee Alejandre aspired to be many things, but none more prized than becoming a mother. To Kylee, family is everything, and becoming the matriarch of her own family was her greatest ambition.
Through her own pregnancy, she learned just how much she didn’t know about pregnancy and birth. Unfortunately, her birth experience did not leave her with a strong sense of self-actualization or empowerment. She knew in her heart that the experience was meant to be one of great beauty, joy, and of course, strength. This led her to dig deep into the research that surrounded birth. Through this research, Kylee stumbled across the word doula.
Doula: A woman who supports another woman through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
That’s when it clicked! Kylee knew that becoming a doula was her calling in this life. She immediately began to immerse her passionate self into all things relating to birth.
Kylee’s extensive trainings and certifications include:
- Birth Doula Certification
- Postpartum Doula Certification
- Hypnobabies Hypnodoula Certification
- NRP Certification for birth assistants
- VBAC Link Advanced Doula Training
- Birth Arts International Lactation Educator Training
- Bloodborne Pathogens for Placenta Encapsulation Professionals Certification
Kylee continually reminds her clients to exercise their autonomy throughout their pregnancy and birth journeys.
“Becoming a parent begins during pregnancy and the choices we make as parents should reflect the things that make us unique.” – Kylee Alajandre
Kylee, her husband, Gerardo, and their daughter Hazel reside in Utah County. When not busy supporting clients, Kylee loves to camp, travel, bake, and cook.
