Meet the Doulas

Owner of Utah Valley Doulas

Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula and Placenta Encapsulation Specialist

the doulas kylee

Through Kylee’s own pregnancy, she learned just how much she didn’t know about pregnancy and birth. Unfortunately, her birth experience did not leave her with a strong sense of self-actualization or empowerment. She knew in her heart that the experience was meant to be one of great beauty, joy, and of course, strength. This led her to dig deep into the research that surrounded birth. Through this research, Kylee stumbled across the topic of doulas.

Doula: Someone who supports another person through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

Kylee knew right then that becoming a doula was her calling in this life. She immediately began to immerse her passionate self into all things relating to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Kylee’s trainings and certifications include:

  • Birth Doula Certification
  • Postpartum Doula Certification
  • Placenta Encapsulation Specialist Certification
  • Hypnobabies Certified Childbirth Hypnosis Instructor
  • NRP Certification for birth assistants
  • VBAC Link Advanced Doula Training
  • Birth Arts International Lactation Educator Training
  • Bloodborne Pathogens for Placenta Encapsulation Professionals Certification

Kylee continually reminds her clients to exercise their autonomy throughout their pregnancy and birth journeys.

Kylee, her husband, Gerardo, and their daughter Hazel reside in Utah County. When not busy supporting clients, Kylee loves to camp, travel, bake, and cook.

the doulas savanah

Savanah is a certified birth and postpartum doula, certified childbirth educator and a birth assistant at a local birth center. Birth and babies have always had a special place in her heart. As an aspiring doula for many years, she finally took the leap in 2021 to follow this dream. In her role educating and supporting parents, she loves the connection and relationships formed as she helps them to prepare for their next chapter to begin. Most of all, though, she loves witnessing parents’ strength through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Savanah’s new found purpose is to educate, celebrate and support parents before, on, and after the day they welcome a new addition (or additions) into their family.

Savanah resides with her husband in Utah County. When not serving clients, Savanah loves serving friends, being outdoors, reading, and yoga.

Certified Postpartum Doula

the doulas miah

Miah has always been captivated by birth and infants. As a young girl, she enjoyed learning about child development, particularly the development of fetuses in the womb and the process of birth. She is the oldest of 6 children and always loved taking care of her new siblings. When she was 12, Miah attended the birth of her youngest sibling. This was a very monumental experience for her, as it was when she realized she wanted to become a doula and eventually a midwife.

Miah is a certified postpartum and infant care doula. She aspires to build deep connections with families and help them have a successful postpartum period.

Miah resides in Utah county and is currently in the Elementary Education program at Utah Valley University. When not busy supporting clients, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, participating in outdoor activities, playing a variety of instruments, reading, and traveling.

Certified Postpartum Doula and Lactation Counselor

the doulas rachelle

Rachelle is a certified postpartum doula and certified lactation counselor. As mother of 3 and as a military wife, she is familiar with many of the struggles that can come with birth and early postpartum. Her passion for pregnancy, birth and postpartum care began with her own struggles with breastfeeding. Finally finding success with nursing her third child through 12 months and beyond led to Rachelle certifying as a lactation counselor. That training led to further interest in becoming more involved with the postpartum period. She then went on to certify in postpartum doula care, which is another step towards her long term goals to add prenatal, postpartum and infant massage to her list of services. As a military wife she has felt the isolation and disconnect that can come during early postpartum, and she wants to support others during that time, as well as work to build community for those facing the big life change that is parenthood.

Rachelle has wanted to be a mother since she was little and in her free time loves to adventure with her children and husband. She loves getting outdoors for hikes or just trips to the park, lake days, watching her kids pick up winter sports, coffee/hot cocoa dates with her littles and travel, travel, travel whenever time and finances allow.
